UML candidate wins in Achham's Mangalsen

Achham: UML candidate has won for the post of mayor and deputy mayor of Mangalsen Municipality, the district headquarters of Achham.

UML candidate Padma Bahadur Bohara has been elected as the mayor while UML's Sangita Rawal Sodari has been elected as the deputy mayor. Bohara won with 5,737 votes while his nearest rival Nama Bahadur Shahi of the Nepali Congress got 5,002 votes.

UML candidate Sodari won the by-poll by getting 5,719 votes. His nearest rival, Bam Rawal of the Unified Socialists, polled 3,075 votes.

In the last election, Bohara defeated the Congress-Maoist alliance and was elected as the mayor.
