Far-West's first win in PM Cup
Kathmandu: Far-Western Province has emerged victorious for the first time in the Prime Minister's Cup T20 cricket tournament. In today's match played in Kirtipur, Far-West defeated Karnali Pradesh by 47 runs.
Following the target of 154 runs given by Far West, Karnali was all out in 19.1 overs and managed to score only 106 runs. Ravindra Shahi scored 35, Arjun Gharti 30 and Anup Kunwar 13 for Karnali but other players could not score double figures.
Sher Malla took four wickets and Hemant Dhami took two wickets to stop Karnali in 106 runs. Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Sudurpaschim lost eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 153 runs.
Arjun Saud scored 32, Basanta Karki 28, Deepak Bohara 25 and Khadak Bohara 22 for Far-West. Prakash Jaishi took three wickets while Diwan Pun and Ravindra Shahi took two wickets each for Karnali. With this victory, Far-West has reached the third position of the table with two points in two games. It is in the fourth position in terms of net run rate with the same two points in three games.
