Far-west region celebrates Prithvi Jayanti

Today the nation celebrates Prithvi Jayanti in order to honor Prithvi Narayan Shah and his achievements. In the past years, the government had not declared the day as "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas" (National Unity Day). But this year the scenario is different. Preparations have been made in order to celebrate the day in an auspicious manner.This year, various programs in Dhangadhi, Tikapur, Mahendranagar, Attariya and various places of hilly districts are being organised.
