Dhangadhi: The Rana Tharu community has been agitating saying that the Rana Tharu language has not been given a place as an official working language in the report prepared by the Language Commission. More than a dozen organizations led by the Rana Tharu Samaj staged a protest in the far-western capital Dhangadhi on Monday.

"The Rana Tharu community, a native of Kailali and Kanchanpur, has been separately listed by the Nepali government as an indigenous tribe," said Kriparam Rana, president of the Rana Tharu Society. Is organized. The meeting was addressed by former minister Narad Muni Rana and others.

Former Minister Rana alleged that the Rana Tharu language was removed from the direct direction of the government. In the far western states, Dotyali, Tharu, Baitadeli, Achhami, and Bajhangi have been recommended as official languages.

The Rana Tharu community in Kailali and Kanchanpur has a population of about 300,000. The Rana Tharu Samaj has urged the Language Commission to rectify the report immediately and give space to its community.
