Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba appointed rime inister by the president
Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as the next Prime Minister.
According to Article 76 (5) of the Constitution, Deuba has been appointed as the next Prime Minister by the President. The Supreme Court on Monday overturned Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s decision to dissolve the house on May 21 and ordered the Office of President to appoint Deuba as the next prime minister in accordance to his petition.
The Office of the President is currently preparing to administer the oath of office and secrecy to Deuba at 6pm on Tuesday.
