Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan has brought a budget of around Rs 2 billion

Dhangadhi: Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan  has presented the annual policy, program and budget of the fiscal year 2078/079 BS in the seventh municipal assembly on Tuesday.

Sushila Mishra Bhatta, deputy chief of Dhangadhi Sub-Municipality, has presented a budget of Rs 1.81 billion in the said municipal council. Out of which, Rs. 1.28 billion is on the current side and Rs. 784.75 million is on the capital side.

The budget and programs cover COVID-19 problem management, health, sanitation and disaster management, health and human resource development, agricultural production and productivity growth, education and employment, infrastructure construction and sustainable development, information technology and communication development, enterprise, self-employment and The development of cooperatives, human resources and institutional good governance, social development and poverty alleviation have been given priority.

In order to encourage the farmers towards agriculture, a policy has been given to make arrangements for farmer credit work, cultivation of herbs in community forests, farmer identity and identity card, agricultural market price information system.

The programs for animal development include vaccination, animal breed improvement, animal insurance and other programs. Towards tourism development, there are programs such as construction of cycle tracks on Kailali Nala, Sukuti Nala, Mohana river bank, preparation of corridors to connect Dhangadhi tourist sites, development of Dhangadhi lakes, protection and promotion of tourism, promotion of Bhadagaun Homestay.
