Landslide displaces seven families in Pancheshwor, Baitadi

Baitadi: Seven families have been displaced due to landslide in Pancheshwor of Baitadi district. The families of Kisan Ram Auji, Ramesh Ram Auji, Devaniram Auji, Govind Ram Auji, Dhaniram Auji and Madan Ram Auji of Pancheshwor have been displaced after the landslide near their settlement.

The landslide-affected families have been shifted to a safer place. Baitadi police spokesperson Inspector Darshan Khadka informed that they were kept in the building of the local Devathala Secondary School. 52 people from seven households have been displaced.

Rural Municipality Spokesperson Dasharath Mongola said that the municipality has provided food relief to the victims. The landslide occurred on Saturday morning due to the Kulau-Dimberghat road section dug over their settlement. Mongolia said the landslide had not stopped due to incessant rain.
