Dhangadhi locals sow paddy on muddy road expressing discontent towards local government

Dhangadhi: Locals of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 5 Hasanpur have planted paddy on the road as the road has not been constructed for three years.

Locals chanted slogans against the mayor, deputy mayor, ward chairperson and construction businessmen while planting paddy on the muddy road saying that the sub-metropolitan has neglected to build the road from old Hasanpur of Dhangadhi to Sivanagar.

They chanted slogans like 'King, come and save the country', and so on. Locals have alleged that the road has been abandoned for three years due to the negligence of the Sub-Metropolitan.

They have alleged that the road was damaged by digging blacktop on the 300-meter road.

Outraged locals have said that the plans of developing the city have failed the due to the weakness of the people's representatives.
