Traffic police fines 1,101 vehicles on second day of prohibitory orders

Dhangadhi: The traffic police have increased their surveillance since the second day of the prohibitory order in Kailali. On the second day of the prohibitory order, 1,101 vehicles violating the prohibitory order were taken under control.

Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Kailali and Inspector of Police Birendra Bahadur Bohara said that 1101 vehicles violating the prohibitory order were taken under control from 6 am to 6 pm, while 10 of them were taken into custody.

He said that a total of 5,500 were collected as fine from the offenders.

Violation of the injunction is punishable by up to one month imprisonment or a fine of up to Rs 100 or both for non-compliance with the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020.
