Increase in the number of people entering India from Gauriphanta and Gadda Chauki
Kanchapur : The number of people returning to India in search of employment from the Gauriphanta and Gadda Chauki checkpoint has increased since the second week of September. According to the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, 292 people entered Nepal from India via the Gaddachauki checkpoint on Wednesday while 111 returned to India.
On the same day, 1,046 Nepalese entered Nepal from the Gauriphanta checkpoint and 766 people returned to India in search of employment. At present, the number of people returning to India has decreased, as one requires a ration card, Aadhaar card or an official letter by the company inviting the individual in order to cross the border.
People with a medical emergency are also permitted to travel to India.
