100 new cases of Coronavirus reported on Friday
Dhangadhi: Coronavirus has been detected in 100 more people in the far-western states on Friday. Tests conducted at the Seti Provincial Hospital, Dadeldhura Hospital and hospitals outside the province confirmed the infection in an additional 100 people.
According to Ishwori Prasad Bhushal, in-charge of Dadeldhura Hospital, 56 people have been confirmed infected in the last 24 hours.
According to him, 13 people from Shikhar Municipality of Doti, two from KI Singh Municipality and one from Jorayal village have been confirmed infected.
He said that corona has been confirmed in 25 people of Sanphebagar Municipality of Achham, 10 people of Panchadewal Binayak Municipality and one person of Mellekh village.
Infection has also been confirmed in two people of Navdurga village of Dadeldhura and two people of Sigas village of Baitadi.
In the last 24 hours, 426 corona tests have been done in the laboratory of Seti Provincial Hospital and 36 people have been infected.
According to Dilip Kumar Shrestha, Information Officer at Seti Provincial Hospital, 34 people from Kailali and two from Achham have been confirmed infected. According to him, there are 30 people including 14 women and 16 men in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis and four men in Godavari Municipality.
Meanwhile, a woman and a man from Bannigadhi Jayagarh of Achham have also been confirmed infected. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, said that tests in various laboratories had confirmed the infection in eight more people in the Far West.
At the same time, the number of corona infections in the far west has reached 5,315. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the highest number of infections was reported in Kailali.
Of those confirmed infected, 4,346 claimed victory in the corona and 12 died.
