Dhangadhi: A team including Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal inspected the flood-affected areas of Achham.
The team led by Home Minister Thapa visited Achham after the floods in Kailash River along with incessant rains on Tuesday night caused heavy loss of life and property. Home Minister Thapa has also met the families of those who went missing due to the floods.
He instructed the security forces not to leave any stone unturned in the search for the missing persons and said that appropriate relief and compensation would be provided to the families of the victims.
Along with Home Minister Thapa, who reached Achham by Nepal Army helicopter, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatt and former Minister Bhim Rawal have also reached the affected area.
Only six of the 17 bodies washed away by the Kailash River have been found in Achham. The search for 11 people is continuing, according to the local administration.
