Eleven people from Sainibazar still missing after being swept away by the flood on Tuesday
Achham: Eleven people of Sainibazar of Ramaroshan Rural Municipality Ward No. 5 who went missing after the floods caused by the Kilash River, have not been found yet. Seventeen members of four different families went missing when floods swept away 22 houses in Sainibazar on Tuesday night. Chief District Officer Gokarna Prasad Upadhyaya said that the bodies of six people were found on Wednesday but 11 others are still missing. According to him, five bodies have been kept at the District Hospital, Mangalsen. While, one body was handed over to a relative on the spot.
Chief District Officer Upadhyaya said that many families in Mujabgar, Gajad, Khal Bazar, Pul Bazar and other places have been displaced due to the flood caused by a rise in the water level of Kailash River. Chief District Officer Upadhyaya also said that there is a problem in rehabilitating the displaced families. However, the Rural Municipality immediately arranged relief for the displaced families, he said.
