Baitadi: A child who went missing in the Chameliya River on Sunday has been found dead in Jhulaghat, India. Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Prasad Adhikari informed that nine-year-old Rupesh Nath of Dilashani Village Municipality-6, Chausera of Baitadi was found dead.

The boy, who had drowned in the Chameliya River at Dilashani-6, Dadiya on Sunday at 2 pm, was found dead at Jhulaghat in India across the Mahakali River at 7 pm. The autopsy of the boy will be done in India and athe Jhulaghat checkpoint will be opened today and brought to Nepal, said the Deputy Superintendent of Police. "We have coordinated with the Indian local administration and the police," he said.

According to Manoj Singh Saud, Deputy Inspector at Gokuleshwor Police Post, the goat was trying to grab a bottle that had flowed into the Rupesh River.
