Dadeldhura child death case: case against 12, 9 still absconding

Dadeldhura: Twelve people have been charged after a child was killed in a clash over drinking water in Dadeldhura.

The family has filed a case against 12 people after the death of their 8-year-old son of local Ganesh Mahara during a dispute over drinking water in Alital village municipality-6 of the district. Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Inspector Birendra Bohara said that Ganesh Mahara, father of the deceased, had lodged a FIR against 12 persons of Ward No. 6. According to him, Bhim Khadka - 19, Neru Oli - 55, and Tikaram Oli - 30, were arrested at the scene where incident took place.

One of the arrested has been released after no complaint was lodged against him. The search for the other nine is underway, police said. A child injured in a dispute over drinking water died in Dhangadhi on Saturday while undergoing treatment.
