Paucity of rice Kolti Food Corporation

Kolti Food Corporation, Far-West has run out of rice. The corporation stated that 7,000 quintals of subsidized rice were sold this fiscal year before they ran out of stock. Therefore, the corporation has stopped the sale of rice until further notice.

Citizens of Budhinanda, Swamikartik, Jagannath, and Himali municipalities have been availing services from Kolti Food Corporation. Mekh Raj Ojha, head of the Bajura branch of Food Corporation said, “We have stopped selling rice for the time being. We have 600 quintals in stock but we will begin its sale from July 1.” Chief District Officer Krishna Gaire said that he has no information about the rice shortage.
