Two people carry Coronavirus from Far-West to Bardiya and Kathmandu

An 11-year-old girl who returned from Kailali to Bardiya after staying in Godavari and Bhajani for 42 days has tested COVID-19 positive on Monday. 101 throat swab samples have been collected from people that came in contact with the girl from Majgaun and Bhajani.

Similarly, a 33 year-old woman from Bedkot Municipality, Kanchanpur, who reached Kathmandu three days ago has also tested positive for the virus. According to the Ministry of Social Development Far-West, the woman lives in Bedkot Municipality Ward No 4 .

Chief of the Ministry's Health Division Narendra Karki said, "A team from the Health Office in Kanchanpur has been sent to Bedkot to search for people who came in contact with her. The infected woman travelled to Kathmandu in a private vehicle from Mahendranagar on April 13th.

The woman voluntarily arrived for the test and tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. She is currently in the isolation ward of Teku Hospital.”
