120 supervisors and enumerators deployed in Kailali for second economic census
Dhangadhi: Training for enumerators and supervisors has commenced in Kailali as part of preparations for the second economic census, aimed at presenting an accurate picture of the national economic situation.
A total of 120 personnel, including 106 enumerators and 14 supervisors, are participating in the training organized by the District Economic Census Office, Kailali, according to District Economic Census Officer Govinda Prasad Neupane. Data collection for the census will be carried out across the district from Baisakh 20 to Asad 7, he said, emphasizing that the census will provide crucial information on the state of the economy.
Vice President of the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, Nrip Sunar, the chief guest of the program, highlighted the importance of collecting impartial and fact-based data, noting that accurate information is key to effective development planning. He encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained in the training to present a realistic economic picture of the nation.
Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Dr. Hemraj Regmi, added that the true economic condition of Kailali district can only be revealed through comprehensive data collection, stressing the need for coordination among all stakeholders.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Keshav Raj Joshi, Vice President of Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Dr. Lok Bahadur Bista, Chief of Kailali Multiple Campus; and Narendra Chand, Chief of the District Police Office, Kailali.
Program coordinator and Chief of the District Administration Office, Hiralal Regmi, instructed participants to ensure accuracy in data collection while addressing field challenges, emphasizing confidentiality, continuity, and reliability.
Organizers stated that the training is expected to enhance the efficiency of enumerators and supervisors, ensuring the census is conducted effectively and systematically.
