Sixteen arrested for gambling

Sixteeen gamblers have been arrested from Tilak Adhikari’s house situated in Dhanagadhi Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 3, with cash worth Rs 22 lakhs, 82 thousand. Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Daksha Kumar Basnet said, “Action will be taken under the Gambling Act, for first time gamblers there is a provision of imprisonment for 3 months or a fine of Rs 30 thousand. While, the ones arrested for the second time under the same offense are imprisoned for a team of one year, and are liable to pay a fine of Rs 50 thousand.
