Surendra Bahadur Bista put on trial for submitting fake documents

A case has been filed against the chairman of Mahendranagar Municipal Development Committee Mr. Surendra Bahadur Bista for submitting a fake educational certificate.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority filed a case in the special court on Wednesday stating that Bista submitted a fake educational certificate from Gurukul University of India, to become the chairman.

 The authorities have demanded punishment in accordance with the Prevention of Corruption Act 2059, since Bista appears to have taken advantage of the perks provided by his post.
