An infant dies due to delay in delivery, Krishnapur Health Post accused of negligence

An infant has been allegedly killed due to the negligence of Krishnapur Health Post in Krishnapur municipality ward no 2, Kanchanpur.

Karan Bista, father-in-law of pregnant Mamta Bista said that, "at 1:00am, we reached Krishnapur Health Post for her delivery but we were sent home at 6:00 am saying that it was early for the delivery. she was brought to Seti Regional Hospital, Dhangadhi after her condition got critical.”

However, Krishnapur Health Post chief Bansheeraj Bhatt said the accusation of the infant dying due to negligence of the health post is wrong. He said that Bista had reached out for childbirth and was referred to Dhangadhi when it was not possible to deliver the baby at the health post.

He claims that the condition of the fetus was normal at the time of referral. The hospital confirmed that the infant died following a delay in delivery
