Dipendra Singh arrested for smuggling brown sugar

Dipendra Singh, a resident of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan ward no 2, was arrested on Monday at Gaurifanta Naka along with brown sugar.

During a joint check-post of the Gaurifanta police and SSB, Singh was arrested along with 6.8 grams of brown sugar. The Indian police has registered a case against Singh. While, in Kailali, a campaign has been launched to increase surveillance under the coordination of security officials of both the countries on the smuggling of drugs from the Indian market near the border.

Indian nationals involved in smuggling of drugs were also arrested in Kailali. Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office Kailali Mr. Dakshak Kumar Basnet said that the police had filed a case against three Indians only recently.
