Chemical fertilizer quotas set for local levels in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: The Mahendranagar branch of the Agriculture Inputs Company Limited has established chemical fertilizer quotas for the local levels in Kanchanpur.

Hemraj Joshi, manager of the Mahendranagar branch, stated that quotas for Urea and DAP fertilizers have been determined. According to him, these allocations are based on the 541 metric tons of Urea and 487 metric tons of DAP fertilizer received by the Mahendranagar branch from the Provincial Fertilizer Distribution Management Committee.

Bhimdatta Municipality has been allocated 103 metric tons of Urea and 93 metric tons of DAP fertilizer, while Bedkot Municipality has been assigned 95 metric tons of Urea and 85 metric tons of DAP.

Similarly, Shuklaphanta Municipality has been allocated 95 metric tons of Urea and 86 metric tons of DAP, and Dodhara Chandani Municipality has been assigned 79 metric tons of Urea and 71 metric tons of DAP.

Krishnapur Municipality will receive 103 metric tons of Urea and 93 metric tons of DAP, and Beldandi Rural Municipality has been allocated 64 metric tons of Urea and 57 metric tons of DAP.

"We have set the quotas for the local governments. Within these limits, the municipalities must provide recommendations specifying the quantity of fertilizer to be allocated to the cooperatives operating within their jurisdictions," said Branch Manager Joshi. "Based on these recommendations from the local levels, the company will begin distributing chemical fertilizers to the cooperatives starting Wednesday."

Cooperatives selling the fertilizer are required to update the details of the fertilizer distributed to farmers in the FMS (Fertilizer Management System). Similarly, in accordance with the procedures for the management of subsidized fertilizer distribution, the necessary details and reports must be prepared, certified by the concerned local level authority, and submitted to the Mahendranagar branch of the Agriculture Inputs Company. The Company has requested that the fertilizer be collected within 10 days.
