Landslide-Displaced Six Families in Apihimal Receive Relief

Darchula: Apihimal Rural Municipality has provided relief materials to six families displaced by a landslide in Ward No. 1, Bhattar.

At a formal program organized by the ward office, the rural municipality distributed one blanket, tarpaulin, mattress and rice to each of the displaced families.

The families were displaced after a landslide on Bhadra 19 made it dangerous for them to remain in their homes. The rural municipality said arrangements have been made for the displaced families to stay in a safe location near their relatives’ houses.

Apihimal Rural Municipality Chairman Bhaktasingh Thekare Bohara said necessary relief materials were provided immediately and arrangements were made for the families to settle in a safe place.

The rural municipality said further support and necessary management would be provided based on the condition and needs of the families affected by the landslide.
