Nepali diaspora launches campaign in India to support Dr. Tara Joshi
Dhangadhi: The ‘Dr. Tara Joshi Wins Campaign’ has been launched in India to support Dr. Tara Joshi, the National Independent Party candidate for the House of Representatives from Dadeldhura.
The campaign was initiated in New Delhi by youths from Dadeldhura currently working in India, under the leadership of Pravasi Bharatiya Ekta Samaj, Delhi. Khemraj Dhami, a member of the society, stated that the campaign will expand to other parts of India.
The Nepali diaspora expressed their hope for positive changes in Dadeldhura under Dr. Joshi’s leadership and appealed to voters to support him. Dhami added that, despite being abroad, they are reaching out to voters through phone calls and house-to-house communications.
This election has drawn special attention in Dadeldhura, traditionally considered the political stronghold of former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Although Deuba is not contesting, the race includes several candidates: Nainsingh Mahar from the Nepali Congress, Chakra Snehi from CPN-UML, Mansingh Mal from CPN, Dr. Tara Prasad Joshi from RSWP, and Govinda Khadayat from RPP.
