Half-naked body of young woman found in Kanchanpur, investigation underway

Dhangadhi: The body of a young woman has been discovered in Kanchanpur district. The body was found in Shanti Community Forest at Tilkeni in Bhimdatta Municipality–10.

According to the District Police Office, the body of a woman estimated to be under 25 years of age was found in a half-naked condition near an open area in the forest. Superintendent of Police Khadak Bahadur Khatri said that the identity of the deceased has not yet been established.

“The body was found in a decomposed state,” Superintendent of Police Khatri said, adding that the incident may have occurred 10 to 15 days earlier.

Police have stated that an investigation into the incident is currently underway. Local residents have described the incident as suspicious, noting that there were injuries visible on the young woman’s body.
