26 UML general convention representatives elected from Kailali
Kailali: A total of 26 representatives have been elected from Kailali for the 11th National General Convention of the CPN (UML). Kailali, which has the highest number of constituencies in the Far West, elected 14 men and 12 women as general convention representatives. Representatives were elected unopposed in constituencies 1, 4, and 5, as well as in constituencies 2, 3, and the Dalit category.
In the election held on Saturday in Kailali Constituency 1, Dwarika Prasad Neupane and Dhruva Raj Khatri won in the open category, Kamala Shahi Chaudhary was elected as the women’s representative, and Laxmi Acharya as the youth representative.
Representatives in Constituency 2 were selected unanimously. Those elected include Karna Bahadur Kunwar, Daisy Pandey, Nar Bahadur Khadka, Mamta Rawal, Laxmi Shahi for women, and Pavitra Kumari Majhi for youth. In Constituency 3, Chulluram Chaudhary, Karuna Bam, Ichcha Chaudhary for women, and Raj Bahadur Budha for youth have been elected.
In Constituency 4, Chakra Bahadur Bohara, Nar Bahadur Tamang, Bhim Bahadur Deuba, Ratna Kunwar Joshi, Shanti Devi Singh for women, and Sudhiram Chaudhary for youth were elected. In Constituency 5, Dharmaraj Pathak, Nepalu Chaudhary, Bishnukumar Chand, Yagyaraj Dhungana, Ambika Bista Malla, Rukmini Devkota for women, and Tirtharaj Bhattarai for youth were selected.
Additionally, Bhan Singh BK, Prem Bhol, and Savitra Ghimire have been chosen as general convention representatives from the Dalit category. District Secretary Mamta Prasad Chaudhary stated that there are 13,360 organized members of CPN-UML in Kailali.
