UML leader Mahesh Basnet arrives in Dhangadhi amid youth-led protests

Dhangadhi: CPN (UML) leader Mahesh Basnet arrived in Dhangadhi today, where youth groups carrying various slogans marched through the streets of Hasanpur. Demonstrators gathered near Dhangadhi Stadium, chanting slogans in protest ahead of Basnet’s scheduled address. According to the Dhangadhi District Police Office, Basnet will speak at a youth awareness campaign organized as part of the youth movement.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Singh informed that Basnet is set to address a program at the assembly hall of the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry this morning. Protests were reported near a residence close to the venue of the Jenji Youth program as Basnet’s arrival approached.
