Sudurpaschim Royals select six players from talent hunt for NPL

Dhangadhi: Sudurpaschim Royals have selected six players from the two-day Talent Hunt held in Dhangadhi for the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Hikmat Mahara has been chosen as the Royals' iconic player through the Talent Hunt.

He will represent Sudurpaschim Royals in the NPL. In addition to the iconic player, five players have been included in Sudurpaschim's development team. Om Prakash Ghimire, Solup Chaudhary, Tekraj Thalal, Tarvis Jaisi, and Abhishek Koirala were selected for the development squad.

The training team, led by Jagat Tamta, conducted the selection process in two phases. Hikmat Mahara secured the iconic player position by clocking a bowling speed of 131 kmph in the Beat the Speed segment, while Abhishek Koirala achieved second place with a speed of 125 kmph.

Sudurpaschim Royals’ existing squad includes Deependra Singh Airi, Binod Bhandari, Arif Sheikh, Deepak Bohra, Hemant Dhami, Milan Bohra, Ishan Pandey, Tek Rawat, and Dipendra Thapa. The team’s foreign players are Scott Kuggelin, Josh Brown, Krish Lynn, and Harmit Singh.
