Dadeldhura jeep accident: Four dead, four injured identified

Dadeldhura: Authorities have identified all four people who lost their lives in a jeep accident that occurred on Thursday morning at Chaud of Nawadurga Rural Municipality-5 in Dadeldhura.

Police confirmed that 18-year-old Suresh Saud, 23-year-old Suresh Parki, 40-year-old Tara Awasthi, and 72-year-old Kalawati Saud, all residents of Nawadurga-5, died on the spot after a jeep (Se 1 Ja 738) of Ugratara Yatayat met with the accident. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tek Bahadur Jora, spokesperson of the Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Police Office, said the bodies of the deceased have been sent to Dadeldhura Hospital for autopsy.

Four others were injured in the incident. They have been identified as 18-year-old Sushila Bik, four-year-old Pratika Parki, 48-year-old Chandra Bahadur Saud, and 35-year-old jeep driver Ram Bahadur Saud. Of them, Bik and driver Saud are reported to be in critical condition and are undergoing treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, police said.
