Landslide blocks Sanfe-Martadi Road in Achham

Achham, – The Sanfe-Martadi road in Achham has been blocked following a significant landslide triggered by continuous rainfall.

The landslide occurred on Wednesday night in Budha Bagar, Sanfebagar Municipality-13, approximately 300 meters above the road.

Achham Police Chief Deputy Superintendent Ishwari Prasad Bhandari reported that ongoing landslides pose a significant risk to road reopening efforts.

Authorities are preparing to address the blockage once the landslides cease. The road closure has disrupted travel for commuters and vehicles between Achham and Bajura districts.

The Sanfe-Martadi road often faces disruptions during the rainy season due to landslides. Efforts are underway to restore access as quickly as possible to mitigate the impact on local transportation and trade.
