Suspicious object found near Former PM Sher Bahadur Deuba's residence deactivated

Dhangadhi: A suspicious object found in front of Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Dhangadhi has been successfully deactivated.

The object was discovered late on Saturday night outside Deuba’s house in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4, raising security concerns. The District Police Office Kailali received information about the object at around 1 a.m. on Saturday night. Following the report, the Nepal Police arrived at the scene, accompanied by two teams from the Nepalese Army.

The Army’s bomb disposal team reached the site at 5 a.m. on Sunday morning and deactivated the object. Upon inspection, the suspicious item turned out to be an electric tea pot filled with soil, placed inside a bag.

Authorities suspect that the object was deliberately placed to create panic and send a warning. Further investigations are currently underway to determine the motive behind the act. The police are continuing their efforts to uncover additional details related to the incident.
