Singer Ravi Odd Acquitted in Marital Rape Case
Dhangadhi:The District Court of Kanchanpur has acquitted singer Ravi Odd in a case of marital rape.
Judge Chankamani Aryal's bench decided to reject the prosecution's claim, leading to Odd's acquittal. The case was filed by Odd's wife, who accused him of marital coercion and unnatural sex on Chaitra 20. At the time of the complaint, Odd was abroad on business.
Upon returning, he surrendered to the police on Baisakh 27. Following his surrender, Odd was released on bail of NPR 500,000 on Jestha 3 and fought the case from outside the prison. Ravi Odd is best known as the winner of Nepal Idol season 2.
