Environmental Journalism Award-2023 to journalist Singh

Kathmandu: The Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ) has decided to present the Environmental Journalism Award-2023 to journalist Basanta Pratap Singh on the occasion of World Environment Day.

Singh is correspondent of Kantipur Publication. He would receive cash prize and a certificate. The NEFEJ has been presenting environmental journalism award for the encouragement to journalists on June 5, World Environment Day every year.

The decision was taken to present this award selecting and evaluating the news, articles and programmes related to environment and sustainable development published and disseminated throughout 2023, reads a press release issued by the NEFEJ.

It had called on journalists to apply for the award. The award would be handed over on next general meeting of the NEFEJ.
