Policy and programs pertaining to Sudurpaschim for the forthcoming financial year

Dhangadhi: In a joint meeting of the Federal Parliament, President Ramchandra Paudel has presented the policy and program for the forthcoming financial year.

In point number 79 of the policy and program decided by the government, it is mentioned that the construction of dry port in Dodhara-Chandni will be accelerated. Similarly, the issue of establishing mega food park in Sudurpaschim province is mentioned in item number 84 of the program.

In the 97th point of the policy and program presented today (Tuesday), it is mentioned that the track and structure construction of the strategically important Seti Lokmarg and Mahakali Corridor will be promoted with priority.

In point number 113 of the annual policy and program presented by President Paudel, the implementation of the Chainpur Seti hydroelectric project will be started with financial management, the detailed feasibility study of the Karnali Chisapani hydroelectric project will be completed, and in point number 114, the investment method of the Dododhara-Bareli international transmission line will be decided and the construction will be started.

In point number 115 of the policy and program, electrification is to be done in the remaining areas of Sudurpaschim province, and in point number 127, the issue of building communication villages in other provinces including Sudurpaschim is included. In the 154 points of the policy and program, the government plans to start a medical college with a capacity of 300 beds and an academic program in Shahid Dashrath Chand University of Health Sciences.

Similarly, Dadeldhura Hospital in Dadeldhura will be gradually upgraded to 500 beds. In point 179 of the policy and program it is mentioned that, the construction of Phapla Cricket Stadium in Kailali is to be done, while in point number 196, it is mentioned that the restoration, reconstruction and rehabilitation of private housing and public structures damaged by the earthquake in Bajhang and Doti center will be completed soon.
