Dhangadhi: The annual examination results for Class 8, administered by Chabispathivera Rural Municipality in Bajhang district, revealed that only 23 students out of 324 enrolled candidates successfully passed the examination. Education Officer Harichandra Kadayat shared these statistics, expressing concerns over the limited number of successful candidates.

Of the 16 schools participating in this year's examination, seven schools reported zero passing rates. These schools include Bannichaur Secondary School and Santoshi Basic School of Ward No. 3, Kalika and Jaya Prithvi Basic Schools of Ward No. 1, and Shishu Basic School of Ward No. 2, Suryodaya, and Surma Basic Schools of Ward No. 7.

Kadayat attributed the high number of failures to the restricted format of the examination introduced this year. He explained, "The limited administration, answer sheet evaluation, and result calculation have contributed to a smaller pool of successful candidates this year." Furthermore, he emphasized that the examination outcomes shed light on the current state of education and underscore the need for improvement efforts.

Moving forward, Kadayat outlined plans to implement a more structured and controlled examination process for Class 5 in the coming years. He emphasized the necessity for concerted efforts from teachers, students, and the municipality to enhance educational standards, as highlighted by the rigorous examination format.
