Public Holiday Declared in Far West Tomorrow for Khakhadehra Festival
Dhangadhi: A public holiday has been announced for Monday in the Far West region in honor of the Khakhadehra festival, a significant celebration for the Ranatharu community.
Sushil Vaidya, Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Far West, confirmed that Chait 19 has been designated as a public holiday to mark the Khakhadehra festival.
Khakhadehra holds immense cultural importance as the concluding day of the month-long Hori festival, which is the principal celebration of the Ranatharu community. It is customary for the community to commemorate Khakhadehra as the final day of Hori festivities.
