Business Leaders Advocate for Enhanced Investment Environment in Sudurpaschim Province
Dhangadhi: At the inauguration ceremony of the Seventh Provincial Assembly of the Sudurpaschim Province, representatives from the business community voiced their call for the state government to foster an inviting investment climate.
Surakrishna Vaidya, the Central Vice President of the Federation of Nepal Industry and Commerce, emphasized the necessity for a clear and conducive investment policy from the government. "We stand prepared to invest provided there is a conducive operational atmosphere," Vaidya asserted. He underscored the importance of revisiting the nation's education and industrial policies to deter the outflow of young talent to foreign shores.
In a similar vein, Ramesh Singh Dhami, Minister of Industries, Tourism, Forests, and Environment of the Far Western Province, highlighted the pivotal role of the private sector as a key ally of the government. Minister Dhami disclosed the state government's plans to convene an investment and development conference aimed at fostering self-employment opportunities within the province. Furthermore, he invited suggestions from local business communities on strategies for managing new industries, emphasizing the government's commitment to advancing in alignment with the inputs provided by entrepreneurs.
