Tragic Jeep Accident in Baitadi Leaves Three Injured; Driver in Police Custody

Baitadi: In a regrettable incident, a Bolero jeep with registration number 2 Ch 4551, en route from Amchaura to Melauli, was involved in an accident at Pancheswar Rural Municipality-4.

Three individuals sustained injuries in the mishap, identified as 69-year-old Bisar Chand from Pancheswar Rural Municipality-4, 20-year-old Prinka Chand from the same locality, and Sanu Chand from Shivnath Rural Municipality-3. Currently, the injured parties are receiving medical attention at Amchaur Health Post. Among the seven occupants in the jeep, District Police Office Baitadi has confirmed the safety of the remaining three individuals.

Gajendra Pokharel, the 25-year-old driver of the jeep, has been apprehended by the police. Preliminary investigations indicate that the vehicle lost control, leading to the unfortunate accident. Authorities are actively pursuing further inquiries into the incident.
