Elephants Make an Appearance in Shuklaphanta Community Forests of Kanchanpur
Kanchanpur: On Tuesday, the serene community forest areas nestled within the Shuklaphanta municipality in Kanchanpur witnessed a remarkable sighting - wild elephants gracefully roaming amidst their natural habitat.
Navraj Awasthi, Joint Secretary of the local community conservation group, shared the exciting news that a forest elephant graced the Janjyoti Community Forest, situated in Municipality-1, during the early hours of Tuesday. In response to this majestic encounter, he earnestly called upon the residents of Ganeshpur and Bank areas to exercise heightened vigilance and caution.
In a similar vein, Bahadur Singh Mahara, the Ward President of Shuklaphanta Municipality-8, reported another thrilling sighting of a wild elephant in the enchanting Vaijnath Community Forest area. Harnessing the power of social media, he issued a plea for the residents of Beldandi, Sunderphanta, Bhamarbhoj, and Kalapani to remain on high alert, cherishing this awe-inspiring coexistence with nature.
