Over 570 residents receive specialist care at ward clinics in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: A total of 574 individuals received medical services at specialist ward health clinics operated by Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City in wards 18 and 19 of Kailali.

According to the health branch of the sub-metropolitan city, the clinic held at the health post in ward number 19 on Asad 1 served 342 patients. Of these, 120 were new female patients and 44 new male patients, while 178 were follow-up cases.

Similarly, on Asad 2, a specialist ward health clinic was held for ward number 18 at the basic health center in Depot Bazaar, Phulwari, where 232 people received services. Among them, 96 were new patients—76 women and 20 men—while 136 were follow-up cases, including 85 women and 51 men.

Since Gopal Hamal assumed office as mayor, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City has been operating specialist clinics monthly in each ward. These clinics offer services from general physicians, gynecologists, and ophthalmologists, with pregnant women and senior citizens making up the majority of participants.

Additionally, the sub-metropolitan city has been providing diagnostic services through a portable laboratory, which has served more than 150 senior citizens aged 70 and above.
