More than 17,000 security personnel have been mobilized for election purposes in Far-west
Dhangadhi: 17 thousand eight hundred and 59 security personnel have been mobilized in Far West for the upcoming election of representatives and state assembly members to be held on November 4. 11,559 police, Nepal Army, Armed Police and 6,300 security personnel have been mobilized to conduct the election peacefully.
Senior Superintendent of Police Bhola Bahadur Rawal informed that the security personnel of all agencies have been mobilized targeting the election. According to the provincial police office, 177 mobile teams will be deployed during the election.
It is said that after preparing 20 reserve teams, these teams will be mobilized only as needed. Security personnel will be deployed at the polling station two to three days before the election. According to Rawal, the Nepali Army, Armed Police and Nepal Police will be stationed at different places on election day.
According to the information provided by the provincial police office, 2,812 policemen have been mobilized in Kailali, 1,632 in Kanchanpur, 749 in Bajura, 953 in Doti, 937 in Dadeldhura, 1,268 in Achham. Similarly, 1,188 policemen have been deployed in Bajhang, 829 policemen in Darchula and 1,191 policemen in Baitadi.
