Doti earthquake victims rescued by helicopter
Dhangadhi: Five people who were seriously injured in last night's earthquake are being treated at Doti Hospital. Nepali Army spokesperson Narayan Silwal said that the injured were rescued by a team of security personnel including the Nepali Army and taken to Doti Hospital by helicopter a little while ago.
They were rescued by a helicopter from Dhangadhi in Surkhet and Kailali. Along with the rescue, a team of Bhairavanath Gana was deployed in the area along with the emergency food and tents.
Last night at 2:12 PM, an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 took place in the Khaptad National Park area of Doti. Due to the earthquake, 6 people died when a house collapsed in East Chowki, Gairagaon Rural Municipality-3 of Doti.
Eight houses have been completely destroyed in that place.
