Students protest in Baitadi

Dhangadhi: Baitadi students protest at District Administration Office, Baitadi. The students of Dasharathchand Municipality-5 Sundarkhali of the district staged a dharna.

They protested after a student was beaten up for making noise while playing volleyball at Dasharath Chand Mavi. It is said that local Sudeep Chand, whose house is near the school, came to the school and beat up Prem Chand, a student in class 9.

After the beating, the students staged a sit-in at the district administration office, Baitadi, demanding justice. Prem Chand, who was beaten up, has injuries on his neck, hands and back. According to the students, the sports coach of the Nepali Army, who was playing volleyball, behaved indecently. On the other hand, the beating party claimed that they were not beaten but were warned not to make noise.
