Dhangadhi: Teachers and students are not allowed to carry mobile phones in public schools of Baitadi's Surnaya rural municipality. The rural municipality has issued a notice saying that mobile phones cannot be taken and used in schools.

Himanshu Bhatt, the chief administrative officer of the rural municipality, said that due to the increasing number of complaints by teaching staff working in public schools and students using Facebook during school hours, all schools concerned have been requested to prohibit the use of mobile phones. It is expected that the educational quality will be improved if the banning the use of mobile phones by the rural municipality is implemented.
