A girl found dead in a river in Darchula

Darchula: A girl who went missing after being swept away by the Kalchoudya river in Mahakali Municipality-2 of Darchula has been found dead.

The body of 12-year-old Kavita Badal of Mahakali Municipality-3, who went missing while returning home after cutting grass on Tuesday morning, was found. Police said she was found dead about a kilometre below the spot where she has swept away.

Her aunt is approximately 33-year-old Nanda Badal, who also went missing with the girl, was rescued by locals and taken to the hospital. Rajesh Shahi, Information Officer of District Police Office, Darchula said that her condition is stable.
