A 20-year-old girl raped by 3 men in Kanchanpur

A 20-year-old girl has filed an FIR against four men including her beau for raping her. The victim was in a relationship with Sushil Bista of Punarwas Municipality-9, Kanchanpur for the past one month. Bista had lied to the girl about his profession and lured her into a relationship. Bista claimed that her was a police personnel in the Armed Police and hailed from Dhangadhi. The victim had never met Bista and most of their prior conversations took place over phone calls.

He proposed a plan to elope and the victim agreed to it. Bista went near the house to pick up the girl and took her in a motorcycle to Doda Bridge in Punarwas-5 Simri. He ensured the girl to marry her and asked her for coitus and the victim who was smitten by him agreed to it. Accordingly, they went to the sugarcane field. By that time it was 11 pm. However, they were spotted by 3 young men from the village who escaped on a motorcycle.

The three young men had been following the couple to see where they are going. They also saw the couple in the sugarcane field," said DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah of Kanchanpur Police, "Thereafter, they threatened Bista and the girl and said that they have them on recording and will release the video and raped her in turns." According to the police, the three young men raped the girl by blackmailing them. The police investigation has revealed that the group raped the girl in front of her lover, threatened to make their video viral and beat up the girl and told her to never tell anyone about the incident.

Thereafter, they escaped, Bisht put the girl on a motorcycle and dropped her back to her house. Afterwards the girl took ill, she told her sister that she had been gang-raped. On Friday, the victim filed a complaint against the four people including her boyfriend at the Area Police Office, Tribhuvanbasti. On the same day the police arrested her boyfriend Sushil Bista along with 22-year-old Khemprasad Jaisi, 19-year-old Laxman Sunar and Prithvi Bhat Chhetri.

The girl is currently at home after a medical examination. Kanchanpur District Police Office said that the District Court is preparing to extend the deadline for further investigation to be carried out on the arrested perpetrators.
