Children are being vaccinated against corona in three districts of the far west

Dhangadhi: Children in three districts of the far-western region are being vaccinated against the corona virus from today. The vaccine called 'Pfizer-Lioentech' will be administered in Kailali, Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura from today till June 29.

The Family Welfare Division under the Department of Health Services is launching a vaccination campaign targeting the age group of 5 to 12 years. The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that the vaccination program will be conducted from the school itself.

The vaccination campaign will be school-centric. Vaccination will be given on the basis of school identity card, age opening certificate and self-declaration of parents.

Similarly, for the children who are not enrolled in the school, the vaccination campaign will be conducted on the basis of the age open identity card or the age declared by their parents, the first dose to be taken and the first dose to be taken.

In the first phase, a vaccination campaign will be conducted from 23 to 29 June. The second dose will be given 21 days after the first dose, said the vaccination branch.
