UML cadres obstruct movement of government vehicles in Dhangadhi as a protest against inflation

Dhangadhi: The National Youth Union (NYU) and ANNFSU, which is close to the CPN-UML, have been protesting in Dhangadhi, Kailali as the prices of daily necessities have gone up with the rise in prices of petroleum products. Activists have obstructed the operation of government vehicles in Dhangadhi today.

The youths have stopped the employees going to the office in government vehicles and snatched their keys. According to Dhangadhi Municipal Committee Coordinator Abishek Nath, five vehicles and 35 government motorcycles belonging to Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan, Provincial Assembly Secretariat and Ministry of Infrastructure Development were seized at LN Chowk in Dhangadhi. He said that the seized vehicles would be released only after 5 o'clock.
