Doti girl dies after falling into Seti river

Doti: A young woman from Doti has died after falling into the Seti river. An 18-year-old Dhullu Adhikari of Adarsh Rural Municipality-6 has died after falling from a wooden bridge. According to a local Ganesh Khadayat, he fell from Sanghu on Thursday morning while going for planting in Siga Rural municipality-7 Sangda of Baitadi from Babina of Adarsh-6 Girichauka.

The suspension bridge connecting Girichauka and Babina was washed away due to heavy rains last October. After that, the locals are going back and forth from the same Sangh. However, Padam Kadayat, a local, said that those who go to school, go to the grassland and plant fields will face problems during the rainy season.

He complained that Adarsh Rural Municipality and Sigas Rural Municipality have not taken any initiative for the new bridge so far after the suspension bridge collapsed.
